Richard Hatcher was one of the finest, kindest gentleman I have known. He taught my Western Civilization class my senior year at North Augusta Senior High in 1973-74. Among his many qualities was his superb talent as an educator; he inspired all of his students, and brought that history alive during every class. I am very saddened to larn of his passing, and extend to his wife and family my sincerest condolences. Please know that Mr. Hatcher's legacy as an excellent educator and fine gentleman is something you'll always be able to be proud of and thankful for. Rest in peace, dear friend.
