Richard Wayne Brantley Sr.
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mr. Richard Wayne Brantley Sr., 71, the husband of Mrs. Winnie Fountain Brantley, entered into rest on Saturday, November 26, 2016.
Born in Fitzgerald, GA, a son of the late John H. Brantley and Louise Sewell Roberts. Mr Brantley was the owner and operator of Brantley Amusements for 40 years. Mr. Brantley was a member of Langley First Baptist, he served as deacon and helped out with the Royal Ambassadors. He loved to travel and spend time with his family.
Mr. Brantley was preceded in death by his son Douglass Troy Brantley, his father John H. Brantley, his step mother Bert Brantley, his step father Thomas R. Roberts, his brother Robert Cato, and his sisters Yvonne Harris and Janice Redd.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children Ricky Brantley, his wife Ashley, Raleigh, NC, Scotty Brantley, his wife Dawn, North Augusta, SC, Jeanine Scott, her husband Ricky, North Augusta, SC. Brothers Ray Roberts, his wife Kathy, Sorrento, FL, Robby Roberts, his wife Kim, Eustis, FL, his sisters Pam Whigham, her husband Ricky, Zellwood, FL, Sandy Weaver, her husband Jerry, Apopka, FL, Lana Bateman, her husband Jerry, Zellwood, FL, Lisa Cooper, her husband David, Lucedale, MS, Nancy Taylor, her husband Mark, Athens, Ga, Sister-in-Law Bertie Willis, her husband the late Mike Brantley, Modoc, SC. His Grandchildren Maddi Brantley, Noble Brantley, Claire Brantley, Gabe Brantley, Jessalyn Brantley, Jackson Brantley, Bella Scott, and Brantley Scott.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, November 27, 2016, from 5 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016, at 11 o'clock at Langley First Baptist Church. With Revs. Charles Wilson, Ken Garvin, and Mark Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Noble Brantley, Jackson Brantley, Stephen Taylor, Jerry Bateman, Chris Whigham, and Greg Whigham. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC.
