Rebecca Ard Obituary

Mrs. Rebecca Regina "Becky" Ard, 68, wife of the late Mr. Larry Ard, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Phillip "Joey" Ard, and her brother and sister, Robert Ray Romig and Roberta Hazelet. A Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at 2 o'clock in the sanctuary of Victory Baptist Church, 620 West Martintown Road, North Augusta, South Carolina 29841, with Pastor C. T. Townsend officiating. Her family will be wearing her favorite colors blue or purple in lieu of black. A private inurnment will follow. Left to cherish Becky's memory are her sons, Timothy Ard (Lori Pitts Ard) and Kevin Ard (Tiffany Nicole Ard); grandchildren, Brittany Ard Gartrell (DeShon), Eastyn Caroline Ard, Zayne Barthlome, and Leeland Carter Gartrell. Mrs. Ard was born in Germany to the late Laura Orella Socia Romig. She was a dedicated homemaker, Momma, Gramma, and GiGi. Spending time with her grandchildren and dog Libby was her favorite thing to do, and both granddaughters have a love of bird watching after their grandma. She loved butterflies and cardinals, especially after her husband went to be with the Lord.
