Raymond Morris Obituary
NORTH AUGUSTA - Memorial Mass for Raymond Lee Morris, 92, who entered into rest August 24, 2021, will be conducted Friday morning at 10 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Augusta, Georgia, with Fr. Jacob Almeter officiating. Interment will take place Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Aiken, S.C.
Mr. Morris was born in Columbus, Georgia, having made North Augusta his home for the past 49 years. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps from 1947-1954. Mr. Morris retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an Electrical Engineer after 30 years of service. He was a parishioner at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the SERTOMA Club of North Augusta. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruth Morris; sisters, Emma, Mary and Pauline; brothers, Luther, Riley and Carlton.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Margarita Morris; daughter, Kathryn (John) Boyette; son, Eric Morris; grandson, Matthew Leech; brothers, Ralph Morris and Curtis (Margaret) Morris; and brother- and sister-in-law, Dr. William Palma and Teresa Palma.
Memorials may be made to Camp Sertoma.
