Randy Williams Obituary

Saint Martinville, LA - A Home-going Celebration of Life for Mr. Randy "Rip" Williams, 61 will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at House of Love Ministry (700 Church Street) with Rev. Oscar Gray, Pastor officiating.

He will await the resurrection in House of Love Ministry Cemetery in Saint Martinville, LA.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at House of Love Ministry beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

"Rip" as he was known by many, was a resident of Saint Martinville, LA. He departed this life on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 9:11 A.M. at his residence.

Randy Joseph Williams, best known as "Rip," was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. A renewed Christian who dedicated his life to spreading laughter, hope, the gospel, and sharing his testimonies. Rip was baptized at Praise Church in his hometown of St. Martinville, Louisiana. After starting each morning with a prayer, several cups of coffee, and a quick recap of SportsCenter, Rip made sure to follow up with phone calls to family and friends to check on their well-being. As a young man, he played with his brothers in
his family's band called "The Lil Dippers," led by their father, Albert Williams. A proud graduate of the Job Corps in McKinney, Texas, Rip held various jobs, including 15 years in law enforcement-10 years with the St. Martinville City Police Department and 5 years with the St.
Martin Parish Sheriff's Office as a Lieutenant. His favorite pastimes included watching his favorite sports teams (the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Lakers, and New York Yankees), mailing birthday cards to his grandchildren, visiting family, and listening to and performing his
daily prayers.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Ebony Thomas of Norfolk, VA; two sons, Alonzo Thomas and Leeallen Williams of Lafayette, LA; his ex-wife Patricia Thomas; seven brothers, Phill J. Williams, Eddie J. Williams, and Albert Williams, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Perry
J. Williams of Baton Rouge, LA, Glenn P. Williams of Cade, LA, Richard Williams (Ella) of Beaumont, TX and Ricky Lagrange of Breaux Bridge, LA; four sisters, Linda Anthony (Alex, Jr.) of Parks, LA, Nicky Lagrange and Vicky Lagrange of Breaux Bridge, LA and Karen Mouton of
Lafayette, LA; five grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Williams, Sr., and Melba Cormier; four brothers, Harold P. Louis, Michael J. Williams, Lee Allen Williams, and Ricky Noel; two sisters, Judy Williams and Judy Williams Francis Lewis.

Active Pallbearers will be Alonzo Thomas, Leeallen Williams, Kurt Pierre, Samuel Bourda, Vernon Solomon, and Larenzo Thomas.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Phill J. Williams, Eddie J. Williams, Perry J. Williams, Glenn P. Williams, Albert Williams, Jr., Richard Williams, Ricky Lagrange, Edward Davis, Mack Thomas, Louis Davis, Sr, and Michael Lewis.
