Patrick "Clement" Rogers, Sr.
AIKEN - Mr. Patrick Clements Rogers Sr., 77, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021. Clement was born on July 26, 1943 to Walter and Lexie Rogers in Aiken, SC. After graduating from Aiken High School in 1961, he went on to attend Campbell University and served in the Army National Guard.
In 1966, he married Claire Day (Padgett) Rogers and their only child Patrick Clements Rogers Jr. was born in 1968.
In his professional career, Clement worked in the family tire business and was the owner of Rogers Tire & Battery before finishing out his career in auto sales. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing, cheering for the South Carolina Gamecocks, and visiting with friends and family. He was blessed to have many lifelong friends and cherished the time spent with them and his beloved family.
Clement is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Claire Day; his brother, Buddy (Beverly); his son, Clem (Amy); and his granddaughters, Abby and Liza.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 10 at First Baptist Church in Aiken from 12:30-1:30 immediately followed by a funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Trenton.
