Patricia McEliece Obituary

Mrs. Patricia "Pat" McEliece, 79, of Clearwater, SC, wife of the late William "Bill" McEliece, entered into rest in the comfort of her home on Friday, August 29, 2025, with her daughters, Teresa (Jeremy) Christian, Beverly Seay, and Kristi (Tracy) Evridge, at her side. Born in Saluda County, SC, and a former resident of Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Maroney and the late Clotez Rodgers Clark. Her career path took her in several directions. However, she loved nothing more than being a full-time mom. Pat was a "jack of all trades" and enjoyed "fixing things". She also enjoyed yard work, being outdoors, and singing. If you knew Pat, you knew that family meant everything to her. Not only was she a great mom, but she was also the best "Nana" to her grandchildren, Courtney (Jeremy) Newland, Jessica (Alan) Duplisea, Elan (Kay) Christian, Brandon Hayes, Nathan Seay, Avery Evridge and Carson Evridge and her great-grandchildren, Liam Patrick, Leland Patrick, Logan Patrick, Levi Patrick, Emmalynn Duplisea, Abram Newland, Keely Newland, Kinsley Christian, Braydyn Hayes and Braxton Hayes. Along with her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Pat is loved, will be missed, and her memory will also remain eternal in the hearts of her brother, Alfred Maroney, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Also preceding Pat in death were siblings, Francis Maroney and Wyman Maroney. Pat requested that she be cremated and that her family hold a private service to celebrate a life well lived. Considering her love for children, the family has asked that memorials in memory of Pat be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. (www.stjude.org)
