Patricia Ann Ludwig
AIKEN - Patricia Ann Ludwig, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2022.
Mrs. Ludwig was born October 7, 1941, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Cornelius Lucey and the late Nora Devitt. She enjoyed quilting and was passionate about taking care of animals and their welfare. She was a volunteer for Friends of The Aiken County Animal Shelter (FOTAS) and a resident of the Cedar Creek Community, which she so loved. She was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Mrs. Ludwig loved spending time and caring for her children and grandchildren. She was also an excellent cook.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ludwig was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ludwig Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Casey (Stephen) and Jeanne Ludwig; a son, Arthur Ludwig III (Tamami); three grandchildren, Daniel, Haleigh and Keita; a sister, Mary Smith (Art); and a brother, Neil Lucey (Ginny); as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Plans for a Requiem Mass at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church are being planned for the Spring of 2023 and will be announced by The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to FOTAS, P.O. Box 2207, Aiken SC 29802.
