Graniteville - Ms. Patricia A. Baker, age 83, beloved wife of 53 years to the late Willie "Billy" Baker, entered into rest on Monday November 28, 2022.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Baker; grandchildren, Austin C. Baker, Brandi Baker, Ricky Baker, Jr.; four great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren; and sister, Hazel (Bobby) Ferguson. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Austin D. and Sarah Blanche K. Rodgers; son, Ricky William Baker, Sr.; and sister, June Ferguson.
Ms. Baker worked for Graniteville Company for 40 years and was faithful in ministry for many years. She taught Sunday School for 58 years, was a foster grandparent at Byrd Elementary for 12 years and in the 1960's and 1970's she hosted Bible School in her backyard. She loved her family and she loved the Lord. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Thursday December 1, 2022 at 2:30pm at Christian Heritage Church with Pastor Stephen Phillips officiating. The interment will immediately follow at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Brown, Trenton Brown and Austin Baker. Napier Funeral Home is entrusted with these arrangements.
