AIKEN, SC - Mr. Oliver Alexander Bell, Jr., 72, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
A memorial service with Eucharist will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 30, 2015 at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with the Rev. Grant Wiseman officiating.
Mr. Bell was born in Wilmington, NC to the late Oliver Alexander and Virginia Hewett Bell, Sr. He worked as an electrical engineer with MOX at SRS and was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. Mr. Bell was a former Rotarian, Jaycees and Kiwanis. He was a graduate of Duke University and a Boy Scout, Scout Master.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Sizer Bell; two sons, Christopher Alexander (Sheri) Bell, Bear, DE, Patrick Sean (Marsha) Bell, Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, Patrick Bell, Andrew Bell, Tyler Bell and a brother, Wayne (Jennifer) Bell, Supply, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 125 Pendleton St., SW, Aiken SC 29801.

To the family of Alex...although only knew him a short time, I enjoyed seeing his artwork evolve. He got so much pleasure from painting in Al Beyer's class.

Good bye old friend. I will never forget all the times we played golf and those booming drives you sent off into the wild blue yonder. May you RIP. My sincere condolences for your loss to Sandra and the Bell family.
