Nellie "Nell" Grace Carter Brown
North Augusta - Mrs. Nellie "Nell" Grace Carter Brown, 85, wife of the late Bob Brown, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at University Hospital.
Her graveside service will be held at 12:15 on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ty Lochridge officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
Mrs. Brown was a long time member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta where she was active in the June Faglier Sunday School Class. She and her late husband, Bob, started Georgia-Carolina Heating and Air in 1968, in the basement of Mitchell's Grocery Store on Martintown Rd. She and her late husband also were very active in the aviation community at Twin Lakes Airport and enjoyed spending time at various air shows around the state.
Nell was a well known and loved lady who always had a knack for gleaning and distributing "news".
She is survived by her long time close friend and caregiver Patsy Conoly and good friends Lisa Mayson and Jane Holley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Austin Brown; her parents, Harry P. and Beulah Raley Carter; her step-father, Brad Willis, whom she loved dearly; her aunt, Nell Raley Marsh, her namesake who she was very close to; and her uncle, Floyd E. Raley.
