Nancy Reese Obituary

Belvedere, SC-Funeral Services for Mrs. Nancy "Ann" Reese, 85, who entered into rest September 23, 2025, will be conducted Monday morning, September 29th, at 10 o'clock from Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Skip Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon, September 28th, from 2 until 4 o'clock. Ann was born November 21, 1939, to the late Albert Ray Herndon and Emma Gladys McGee Herndon. She was raised in Hartwell, GA and had made Belvedere her home for the past 64 years. Ann was a longtime member of Belvedere First Baptist Church before making Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church her church home. She faithfully served her church families and actively led the senior adult ministries for 36 years. Ann had a servant's heart and was known for her selfless generosity. She had a passion for knitting and crocheting and made over one thousand hats for infants in the neonatal unit at University Hospital. Ann made beautiful scarves and blankets and freely gave them to her friends and family. She was a compassionate caregiver to many of her elderly family members and friends. Ann will be fondly remembered as a loving mother who adored her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P. Reese, Jr.; and a brother, Olin Herndon. Surviving family members include a son, Ronnie (Sharon) Reese of Clarks Hill, SC; a daughter, Rhonda (Greg) Hatcher of North Augusta, SC; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Donnell) Reese, Alexis Reese, Emmalee (Brandon) Snellings, Brittany Napier, and Sherri Koon; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Reese, Brandon Snellings, Grant Reese, Reid Larson, Chuck McDaniel, and Gunner Wickander.
