Mr. William Waters Obituary

Mr. William Waters, 95, of Aiken, SC, husband of the late Hilda Davis Waters, entered into rest on Monday, afternoon, August 11, 2025, while in the comfort of his home. Born in Lexington County, SC, and a resident of the area most of his life, he was the son of the late Will and Leila Barfield Waters. A Korean War Veteran, he answered his country's call and served in the United States Air Force with honor and pride. Following his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, he entered the construction industry. He retired from R.B. Wheat Construction. Bill was a devoted husband and caregiver. He cared for Hilda for many years as her health declined, never complaining. "Bill" or "Bub" as he was known, enjoyed "piddling" around the house and in his shop. He also enjoyed gardening. Bill is survived by several nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 1 o'clock until 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow in the mausoleum at Aiken Memorial Gardens, Aiken, SC. Pastor Dexter Lambert will officiate. Bill had requested that memorials in his memory be made to the Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries. (www.conniemaxwell.com)
