Mr. Leon Lilly Obituary

Mr. Leon Howard Lilly, resident of North Augusta, SC, passed away on Monday, July 28th, 2025, at the age of 70. Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine DeWitt Lilly and Sly Lilly. Left to cherish his memory is his son, James Leon Lilly; stepdaughter Mellisa Jones; grandchildren Cassidy Faye Lilly, Madison Jean Lilly, Megan Jones, Cameron Jones, and Jordan Jones, as well as his great-granddaughter, Maelinn Chronister. He is also survived by his sisters, Iris Scoggins and June Williams, and his forever love, Vickie Brooks. Leon was a skilled carpenter who had the opportunity to help with carpentry on many of the Applebee's restaurants across the United States. He had a knack for working with his hands and found joy in staying busy, whether it was on his tractor working outside in his garden or working around the house. He had a love for the open road, riding his motorcycle when he had the chance. Though he may have seemed intimidating at first, those who took the time to know Leon discovered a man with a heart of gold, who was always quick to lend a helping hand. He had a special place in his heart for children and cherished time spent with family and friends. At this time, Leon will be cremated, and the family plans to hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
