Monica Bealke Obituary
CHICAGO, IL - Monica Shannon Nicola Bealke (Hood), 28, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024. There will be a celebration of life to honor our beloved Monica on Saturday, September 7th at 3:00 pm at North Augusta Church, 600 W. Martintown Road North Augusta, SC 29841.
Monica graced the world with her presence on October 24, 1995 to Gary and Desiree Hood of Aiken, SC. She was blessed academically as she graduated from Silver Bluff High School with honors and earned herself a double major (English and Scandinavian Studies) from Gustavus Adolphus College is St. Peter, MN. It was here that she met Devon Bealke whom became her spouse on June 10, 2019. Together, they have two fur babies; Benny and Kira.
Upon completing college Monica went on to work for AmeriCorps Vista, The Boys and Girls Club of America, The American Swedish Institute, Epic, and Jellyvision.
Monica is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents: Wilbert & Beulah Hood, Donald & Sandra Phillips. She is survived by her husband: Devon Bealke, parents: Gary & Desiree Hood, siblings: Sandra "Beth" tillman (Murray), John "Van" Ozan (Shannon), and Micki Hood. She has two nieces: Emily & Caroline and one nephew: Connor. Monica leaves behind a loving family and countless friends.
