Mickie Webster Obituary
EVANS, GA - Funeral Services for Mickie Jo Webster, 59, of Evans, Georgia, who lost her 7 year battle with cancer and won eternity with her Heavenly Father on July 5, 2014, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Interment in Westover Memorial Park.
Mickie was born August 29, 1954, and was a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She resided in Irvington, Indiana prior to making Evans, Georgia her home 6 years ago. She was a 1972 graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School, enjoyed fishing, watching or attending a Colt's game; win or lose. Mick was employed with JennAir Corporation for 18 years. Upon retiring from that position, she earned her Commercial Driver's License and gained employment as a school bus driver for Lawrence Township, where she worked for an additional 10 years, before joining her extended family in the Augusta, Georgia area. Once she settled in the south, Mick became immersed in her vegetable garden and particularly loved growing herbs for the superb meals she prepared. Additionally, she found and greatly enjoyed attending Greenbrier Church each Sunday. Mick was preceded in death by her father, Col. Donald W. Waterman, in 2006.
Survivors include her only son, SSG Joseph R. Webster, and his wife Bailey, two grandchildren whom she dearly loved, Ryan and Aria; her loving mother Jo Ann Waterman Berry, and stepfather Richard Berry; stepmother, Cora Waterman; one sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Douglas Wahlert; one brother and sister-in-law, D. J. and Laura Waterman; two nieces, Abby Wahlert and Hannah Waterman; one nephew, Jacob Waterman and numerous cousins.
Mickie was, and will always be, a Daughter loved dearly; a Mother who loved fiercely; a Grandmother overwhelmed by the privilege, and a Sister who will be a part of us forever. Her laughter and quirky ways will always, always be remembered and cherished.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Sweet Mickie Jo. So many good memories and laughter. Having you in our lives brought so much joy to everyone in the family. I held you the 1st day Aunt Jo and Uncle Don brought you home from the hospital. I felt so grown up that they would allow me (a 6 yr. old) to hold a tiny baby. There was so much joy. All the yrs. of babysitting you and Paula was quite an experience, as you both were always up to something. As we grew older and shared our adult lives, you always were my "voice of reason." Always encouraging, and always full of love and understanding. You were a special woman and I know that the heavens are full of laughter -- and organization. I can't wait for you to welcome me when I join you and mom.

Mickie, you raised a wonderful son, who became a great son-in-law to me, husband to my daughter, and father to our shared grandchildren. You definitely live on through him and our grandchildren. Job well done, thy good and faithful servant, enter into the Joys of the Lord!

My heart goes out to the family. We've lost such a beautiful soul way to soon. Know that Micki is with our precious God who will be making sure she is now pain free and enjoying her eternal life.
