Michael Jenkins Obituary
AIKEN - Michael Wayne Jenkins, age 67, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at University Hospital.
Michael was born October 13, 1951 in Greenwood, SC to the late Henry Grover Jenkins and Jennie (Pat) Jenkins. He was an area resident for most of his life. He worked as an IT specialist, a deputy with the Aiken Co. Sheriff's Department, and most recently part-time at Midland Valley Country Club. Michael was a member of Aiken's First Baptist Church and enjoyed the game of golf and the USC Gamecocks. He loved being with his family and golf buddies.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Diane Jenkins.
He is survived by a son, David Michael Jenkins, Graniteville, SC; a daughter, Jennie Lauren Wright (Zachary David Wright), Augusta, GA; a grandchild, Heath David Jenkins; a sister, Janice Diane Bolt (Scottie); and a brother, Thomas Henry Jenkins (Monica).
Friends may call on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at George Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the George Funeral Chapel with Mr. Nicholas Corbin officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
