Michael Eubanks Obituary

Mike was my bass guitar teacher for many years. I started late in life and his patience and support kept me going. He helped me realize my dream of playing in a band. Mike was a caring and loving person, and was particularly compassionate towards animals in distress. I recall him rescuing a beautiful black cat that had been injured by human cruelty. He named the cat Prince. Sadly Prince could not be saved, but Mike stayed by his side to be sure his passing was a peaceful and loving one. Afterwards Mike laid him to rest in his garden. That was the kind of person Mike was. Beyond his compassionate nature, Mike was a phenomenal musician, and played in many bands over his lifetime as well as becoming an accomplished sound engineer. His natural talent was complimented by his encyclopedic knowledge of rock music, and there are countless musicians in the world today who have Mike to thank for the enjoyment and reward that comes from their craft. The last few years of Mike's life were difficult due to illness, and made worse by the isolation of the pandemic. He deserved many happy golden years of retirement but sadly it was not to be. I regret that we lost touch during this time. I am however thankful for knowing him, his teachings, and for playimg music with him. Mike rocked. I miss him.
