Melvin Flippin Obituary

It was an Honor to have served with Melvin in Vietnam we were in the 59th LC. Peace be with you my Brother.

I grew up with Melvin. He was a wonderful friend and always had a kind word for every one he met. We were in the same Sunday School class and from grades 1 thru 12. I even ran into in Vietnam. He was a tremendously strong man physically and always much larger than the kids he grew up with, but he was a gentle giant. Shirley he was a truly good man with a big heart. Your son can be very proud of his dad. It was an honor to call him my friend. We have lost a loved one but heaven has a new angel. Ba

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Melvin all my life and I can tell you he will be missed. He was a great man and a wonderful human being. From the t-ball days to the firehouse to the 1st responders Melvin was some you could depend on. So sorry for you loss. New Ellenton has lost a local hero and he will be missed.

Sorry to hear of Uncle Melvin Passing, My heart goes out to you Aunt Shirley, Suzanne, Melvin Jr. and the rest of Uncle Melvin's Family... I know I haven't seen you all in a while and I so wish that was not the case but I did and will miss him but never forget him.

Flip was always a blessing to be around, I enjoyed his stories at station 3 back when it was in New Ellenton and felt safe knowing he was nearby. Thank you for your service.

I went to high school with Melvin. Praying for all his family.

Flip was always willing to help others in any way he could. His entire family is devoted to helping others when needed. God bless his family as they pass through this time of grief. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Flippin Family.

I miss the days of hearing "Flip" calling me for Paramedic back up from way back. Miss those days with him. To the family...you are being prayed for and watched over.

So sorry to hear about Melvin..I remember him growing up at tne end of Sycamore St. I can still hear his deep laugh...he will be missed....please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers for the entire family.

Mr. Flippin will be greatly missed! I always enjoyed catching up with him at Oakwood Elementary when he would come to watch his grand-daughter. He always had that great mile wide smile. Keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers!
