Matthew Stuart Baltzegar
Aiken - Matthew Stuart Baltzegar, 46, of Aiken, passed away September 25, 2021 after a brief illness.
Born January 25, 1975 in Orangeburg, SC, he was the son of Annie Varnell Baltzegar and the late Robert Ensely Baltzegar.
He was compassionate to older people, animals and kids. He loved interacting with his customers and driving his jeep. He enjoyed researching guns and deer hunting. In his spare time, he loved playing with his dogs and watching movies.
Matt was preceded in death by his dad and his brother, Benjamin Baltzegar.
He will be lovingly remembered by his mom; his siblings, Sandie Ott (Allen), Branchville, SC, Frances Owens (Gene), Aiken, SC, Michael Baltzegar (Frances), Neeses, SC, and Amanda Ramey (Dan), Quincy, CA; his nieces and nephews, Alex Proveaux (Alyson), Michael Paul Baltzegar (Ashley), Malerie Wall (Kevin), Samuel "Doc" Bernstel (Keri), Adam Baltzegar, Courtney Baltzegar, Kayla Baltzegar, Audrey Van Huff, and Sean Bernstal; his great-nieces and nephews, Rave Milazzo, Colby Baltzegar, Paxton Wall and Winston Wall; and his faithful fur companion, Buckshot "Boogie".
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1PM at Odell Weeks, where food will be served. Please come and share your favorite memory! Masks are strongly recommended and Covid protocols will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Matt's memory to the SPCA or Heights Church Building Fund.
The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center,211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.
