Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Walton
AIKEN, SC - Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Walton, age 61, entered into rest on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
Betsy was born September 11, 1954 in Aiken County, SC to the late Jack and Mary Holley Mullens. She was a life-long area resident and was of the Baptist faith. Betsy graduated from Aiken Technical College with a degree in Accounting and worked as an office manager for BSS in N. Augusta, SC for many years. She then went to work at Waffle House where she became very loved by her co-workers and customers. She was a people person and loved everyone. Betsy never had children of her own, but did have two god children and many others who called her "Grandma."
In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Richard Walton; her eldest sister, Marsha Ann Bell; and two brothers, Billy Mullens and Jerry Mullens.
Survivors include a sister, Janice Williams (Rena Clark); a niece, Sherrie Harrelson (Brad); a nephew, Morgan Stringfield (Leslie), and a dear friend she considered a sister, Geri Kitchings, all of Aiken, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the Historic George Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Henry Chennault will officiate. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Coty Caudle, James Randall, Eric Kitchings, Scot Thompson, Brad Harrelson, and Morgan Stringfield.
The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Aiken SCPA, 199 Willow Run Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.

I will miss Mrs. Walton she always had smile on her face when I delivered her mail was on vacation when I got the news gone but never forgotten.
