Mary Moore Stallworth
PITTSBORO, NC - Mary Moore Stallworth, 89, died Tuesday, April 22, 2015 at her residence in Pittsboro, NC.
A native of Louisville, KY, Mary was the daughter of the late Percy Walton and Flavia Oglesby Moore. She was married to the late William Hunter Stallworth, Jr. for 60 years. As the wife of a textile executive, they lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas. She was a former member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Aiken and was a longtime member of the Chancel Choir. She was also a former member of Wildwood Garden Club and the Aiken Women's Heart Board. Mary was an avid golfer.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Stallworth, Pittsboro, NC, Jim Stallworth
(Ramona), Fort Mill, SC and John Warren Stallworth (Pam), Murfreesboro, TN; two daughters, Susan Stallworth Phillips, Pittsboro, NC and Mary Ann Stallworth Findley, Aiken, SC; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dave Phillips.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1 PM at Hall - Wynne Funeral Funeral Service, Griffin Chapel, Pittsboro, NC.
The arrangements for are under the care of Hall - Wynne Funeral Service and Cremation of Pittsboro.
