Mary Shiver Collins Obituary

Ms. Mary Michelle Shiver Collins, 57, of Warrenville, SC, entered into rest on Monday, June 16, 2025. Born in Aiken County, SC, on May 23, 1968, at the former Aiken Community Hospital, she is the daughter of Shirley Jones Shiver and the late John Gary "Big John" Shiver. Mary was educated in the Aiken County Public School System and graduated from Midland Valley High School in 1986. She was a former employee of the Graniteville Company, Granite Division. At the time of her death, she was employed by Dominion Energy, formerly South Carolina Electric and Gas. Mary enjoyed cooking, watching YouTube videos, and spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Cameron Collins. Along with her mother and grandson, Mary is loved, missed and memories of her will be forever cherished by her children, Dymond Collins, Korea, Quest Collins, Warrenville, SC; Melody Collins, Aiken, SC; siblings, Shirley (Ernest) Chavious, North Augusta, SC, Alicia Harris, North Augusta, SC and Jennifer Shiver, Beech Island, SC; Godson, Jamarcus Alexander, Beech Island, SC; uncle, Kenneth Shiver, Beech Island, SC; aunts, Rev. Gloria (Frank) Donahue, Augusta, GA, Hazel Wade, Augusta, GA, Clara Mae Shiver, North Augusta, SC, Beatrice Shiver, Jersey City, NJ and Julia Shiver-Muse, Jersey City, NJ; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Also preceding Mary in death were a sister, Veronica Deidre Shiver, maternal grandparents, Johnnie Sr. and Arline Washington Jones, and paternal grandparents, King and Clara Mar Walker Shiver. The family will greet friends on Saturday, June 28, 2025, beginning at noon at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
