Mary Ann Keenan
BARNWELL - Mary Ann Bunton Hutto Keenan, 91, passed away at home on August 29th, 2025. She was born on July 29th, 1934 in Allendale, SC to the late Edward Lee Bunton and Georgia Barnes Bunton.
Mary was raised in St. Stephen's, SC, and lived there for 18 years. She moved to Barnwell in 1952 and has lived here ever since. She married her husband, Joseph L. Keenan, on August 23rd, 1972. She worked for Shuron Textron and retired after 23 years. In her last years she worked as a caretaker at RPCA, as well as PCM. She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Barnwell, SC.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joseph L. Keenan; her daughter Barbara (Stephen) Blume; sister Frances (Ray) Larson; as well as her brother, George Edward Bunton.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Johnnie Marion Hutto; her parents Edward and Georgia Bunton; as well as her brother, Charley Lee Bunton.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Mole Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM. Graveside will be held at the Barnwell County Memorial (Airport) Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Barnwell County Animal Shelter.
