Warrenville - Mrs. Mary Mitchum Kaney, 81, of Warrenville, SC, wife of the late Louis Wayne "Butch" Kaney, entered into rest on Saturday, February 27,2021, in the comfort of her home.
Born in Johnstown, SC and a resident of Aiken County, SC, all of her life, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Marie Free Mitchum. She retired from the Warren Division of the Graniteville Company. Miss Mary was a member of Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed fishing and traveling.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her daughters and their husbands, Kelly and Ron Jordan, Gaston, SC and Christy and Robert Carr, Gloverville, SC; siblings and their spouses, Wilbur and Ann Mitchum, Ridge Spring, SC, Jackie Mitchum and his longtime companion, Dee Harris, Langley, SC, Danny Mitchum, Hephzibah, GA, Mae and Ron Hess, Ridge Spring, SC, Barbara Mitchell, Langley, SC, Helen and Rick Masters, Augusta, GA, Sandra Hair, Langley, SC and the late Al Mitchum, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 4, 2021, beginning at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Brother Bill Branch will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Bath, SC. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers: Dewayne Riggs, Cody Jordan, Keith Kirkland, Bubba Mitchum, Ross Mitchum and Rick Masters.
