Mary Baxley Obituary

Belvedere, SC- Funeral Services for Mary Ann Baxley, 87, who entered into rest October 27, 2025, will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Russ Larkin and Rev. Chris Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow the service in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. Mary was born June 14, 1938, to Mary Jane Roberts in Wadley, GA and had made Belvedere, SC her lifelong home. She retired from the South Carolina Welcome Center with over 25 years of service as a Tour Information Guide. Mary enjoyed sewing and used her talent as a Seamstress to serve many in the Belvedere Ridge community. She was a lifelong Christian, loved her Sunday School class and was a faithful member of Bel-Ridge Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gentry "Brush" Baxley; two sons, Billy Clifford and Donald Baxley; a grandson, Tyler Sanders and a son-in-law, Pastor Tim Sanders. Surviving children left to cherish her motherly love and wisdom include, Bobbie Ann Oerman, Robbie (Michele) Baxley and Karen Sanders; her twelve grandchildren she loved and was loved by so much, Jennifer Stopher, Rick Clifford, Mary Dillingham, Alexander Baxley, Elizabeth Baxley, Ashley Davis, Nicholas Baxley, Rose Baxley, Katey Rogers, Noah Rogers, Jonathan Sanders, and Brittany Carter; five great grandchildren; Harlie Carter, Baylie Carter, Bryce Stopher, Emma Stopher, and Austin Davis; and a daughter-in-law, Jill Baxley. Pallbearers will be Rick Clifford, Alexander Baxley, Nicholas Baxley, Jonathan Sanders, Bryce Stopher, Devon Carter, Noah Rogers and Hollis Dillingham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Mitchel Stopher and Scott Craft.
