Mary Ellen Amick
WEST COLUMBIA, SC - Mary Ellen Amick, 87, of West Columbia, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 28, at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery with Pastor Alvin Shrum and Pastor Terry Amick officiating. Active pallbearers are Brandon Clamp, Joshua Clamp, Marty Amick, Glenn Frick, Ronnie Watson and Jeff Davis.
Mrs. Amick was born in Batesburg, SC daughter of the late Lonnie Edgar and Elizabeth Jones. She was married to the late Hubert C. Amick. She had worked for Winn Dixie Grocery Store as a cashier and bookkeeper. She was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Debbie Clamp of Lexington; Patricia Amick of Silverstreet; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Jones (Brenda) of Aiken; grandchildren: Brandon and Nicole Clamp; and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, 1220 Cedar Grove Road, Leesville, SC 29070.
