Martha Jennings Obituary

AIKEN, SC – Martha Eileen Jennings, age 78, passed away January 12, 2025.
Mrs. Jennings was born December 19, 1946 in Sussex, NJ to the late William and Ruth Space. She had been a resident of Aiken, SC since 2013, having formerly lived in West Palm Beach, Fl. She received her Bachelor's degree from Upsala College in Psychology, her Master's degree and Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Health Administration, and received her Nurse Practitioner Certification from Community General Hospital in Syracuse New York. She spent the majority of her career as a family nurse practitioner, and in her later years, she taught nursing at Augusta University. Her lifelong passion to her dying day was her horses. She was an avid equestrian, competing in Dressage, and was also a member of many local fox hunting clubs including Aiken Hounds, Why Worry, and Whiskey Road.
Survivors include her three sons, Douglas Jennings, Daryle Jennings, and David Jennings; two grandchildren, Hannah Louise and Madeline; and a sister, Ellen Peereboom.
Services will be announced at a later date.
