MARK BREEDEN Obituary

BREEDEN, MARK STEPHEN - age 48 of Powell, passed away January 8, 2015, after a 2 year battle with cancer at Tennova North Medical Center. Mark was a Christian and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church. Mark loved life, never met a stranger and had many friends he loved. He always had a smile on his face. He was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and he loved all UT sports. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Pat Breeden; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Caty Breeden; nieces, Emily, Bailey, and Riley who he loved very much; aunt, Billie Sullenberger; uncle, Virgil Breeden and several cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Antonucci and his staff and all the other doctors and staff at Tennova North Medical Center for all their love and support. A special thanks to nurse Wanda with whom he loved to joke. A special thanks to Dr. Todd Bauer and his staff at Tennessee Oncology SCRI in Nashville, TN, for all their love and care during his treatments. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite cancer research. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 12 p.m. graveside service. Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. I went to elementary school with Mark at Chilhowee. Another classmate told me she read about it in the paper, and as soon as I came her to look, I can totally recognize his face as the little boy I knew in school. My deepest condolences to your family.

So sorry to hear this. Me and Mark have been friends since childhood. We were also neighbors growing up. 37 yrs and have remained in contact.
