Marie Paprocki Obituary

Marie A. Paprocki of Mahopac, NY passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 68. She was born in Yonkers, NY on May 4, 1956, the daughter of Francis and Emily (Travers) Lavelle.
Marie graduated from Yonkers High School of Commerce. A Mahopac resident since 1993, Marie was the Clerk for the Town Justice, Town of Carmel, NY. She enjoyed music and attending concerts and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Luke and Andrew of Mahopac; her brother, Paul Lavelle of Brewster, NY; her sisters Barbara Dziadek of Wilmington, NC, Patricia Caloia of Yonkers and Kathy Palacio of St. Augustine, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Denis Lavelle and her former husband, Richard Paprocki.
A lover of animals, Marie is survived by her pet parrot, Pegg. She greatly missed her canine companion, Duke, who recently passed.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Friday, January 10 from 4-8 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 11 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac. Private cremation will follow.
