Marie Jefferson Obituary
ATLANTA, GA - Funeral Services for Ms. Marie (Maria) Anita Jefferson will be held 1:00pm Saturday, at the St. John Baptist Church, Langley, SC. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at (11:00am) 2 hours prior to the service at the Church. Viewing will begin at the Amos & Sons funeral home in Johnston Friday@ 1:00pm.
She is survived by a daughter, LaToya Jefferson; a stepmother, Dorothy M. Peterson; three brothers: Vernon R. Peterson, Noah (Mattie) L. Peterson, Daryl (Casey) Peterson; one sister, D. Denise Peterson; sisters-in-law, Thelma Jefferson, and Martha Jefferson; Johnston, SC; Amos & Sons Funeral Home, Johnston, SC

Nita, there will always be a light shinning in my heart. First we were friends then became family by way of marriage. We shared lots of memories, good and bad. I'm still in shock. You raised a beautiful daughter and that was a job well done. Be at rest my friend. Once you get settled in Heaven tell everyone I said HELLO.

Nita, my friend, I will miss you and will always cherish the memories we shared. I will definitely miss the phone ringing and upon answering, you calling me by my entire name! I love you Nita, but God loves you more! Take your rest my friend. Family comfort your hearts knowing she is in a better place; her journey here is finished; to God be the glory!
