Margie Rice Crapse
Aiken - Margie Rice Crapse, 93, wife of the late H. Moody Crapse died Saturday, January 22, 2022.
Born in Columbia, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Clough Henry Rice and Leoline Walker Rice. She attended the University of South Carolina and worked for SCE&G until she retired after 36 years of service. She was a devout Christian and active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Aiken. She was also a former member of Salem UMC, Chapin UMC and Washington Street UMC. Margie was an avid bridge player, playing as much as three days a week, but she always had time for her four grandsons.
Surviving are her sons, Bert Crapse (Michelle) and Bruce Crapse (Kimberly), both of Aiken, S.C.; four grandchildren, Chase Crapse, Caden Crapse, Ryan Crapse, and Wyatt Crapse; nephew, D. Christian Goodall (Linell) of Columbia and niece, Katherine Goodall Crosthwaite (Keith) of Nashville, TN. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Billie Rice Goodall (Leon).
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Aiken, SC. The family will have visitation immediately following the memorial service. A burial will take place in Chapin United Methodist Church Cemetery at 3pm.
