BATESBURG - Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Etheredge Young were held at 1pm on Saturday, August 4, 2016 at the AOH Church of God in Batesburg, SC. Bishop Gregory Cannon and Apostle Keith Holland will preside. Services were entrusted to Amos & Sons Funeral Home.
Margaret was born November 24, 1952 to the late James and Beatrice Cannon Etheredge. She entered eternal rest Monday, July 30, 2018.
In her early life, she joined Philippi Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School. She was formerly employed with several textile plants. Later in life, she became a home health caregiver and advanced to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), employed by Trinity Nursing Facility where she later retired.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sue (Sylvester) Gray and Willie Mae Etheredge.
Those left to cherish her precious memories include: her husband - Richard Young, Sr.; one son - Jermaine Young, Sr.; three grandchildren - Malcolm Martin, Jermaine Young, Jr. and Quadasia Young; two step-sons - Richard (Barbara) Young, Jr. and Anthony Young; four step grandchildren; three aunts - Clare Bennett, Peggy Cannon and Sally Mae Hare; two uncles - James and J.B. Cannon; one niece - Amanda Etheredge; three great-nieces - Courtney Etheredge, Ayanna Etheredge and Raya Etheredge; one great-nephew - Christian Etheredge and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
