Margaret Hatfield Obituary

Margaret D. Hatfield, 86, of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Somerset, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at Frankfort Regional Hospital in Frankfort.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1926, in Lexington to the late John and Elizabeth Marcordes Duncan.
Hatfield had formerly worked as a secretary for the state of North Carolina. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg and a former member of First Baptist Church in Somerset. Hatfield was very active in her church duties. She loved to read and spend time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Colleen Hoffeld of Lawrenceburg; two nieces and one nephew and several great nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Hatfield, who died March 22, 2005; and a brother, Melvin Duncan.
The funeral service was held Aug. 14 at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Ky. Bro. Bob Ehr officiated. Burial was in the Sloans Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were the great nephews of Mrs. Hatfield, Jimmy Hollingsworth, Scott Hollingsworth, Danny Lawson, Nathan Eldridge, Zak Hoffeld and David Wade.
The family requests expression of sympathy be made to the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and/or The Galilean Home, 111 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky 40342.
