Windsor - Memorial services for Marcia Mary Margaret Stygar, 61, of Windsor, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, in the chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Miss Stygar, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. Born in Norwich, CT., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Stygar. She was a high school athlete, attended Avery Point, UConn and graduated from Storrs, UConn with a BS is Biology. She was hired as an Information Technician with the Thermos Company and other local companies. She was a substitute teacher in Norwich and surrounding areas. In her spare time, she competed in 3 day events and Hunter Events (Jumping). She served as an adult leader for youth equestrian clubs and taught equestrian riding. She was a kind hearted soul who gave to animals in need and people who needed warmth.
Surviving are her brothers, Paul P. Stygar of Sterling, Virginia, Michael Stygar of Chinagrove, Texas and David D. Stygar of Lebanon, CT.

Marcia was a wonderful person. We only knew each other a short time through work at DayBreak but she was my friend. We had many great conversations. I will miss her. Rest in peace my friend.
