Maggie Pilot Obituary

Maggie Grover Pilot
AIKEN, SC - Maggie Grover Pilot, age 86, of Aiken, S.C., wife of the late Leon Pilot and daughter of the late Walter Grover, Sr. and the late Mattie C. Bell Altman Grover, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 21, 2015.
She is survived by sons, John Pilot and Paul Swygert both of Aiken, S.C., Ralph Morgan of Johnston, S.C. and William Pilot of Windsor, S.C.; a daughter, Joyce Meeks of Lincolnton, Ga.; stepchildren, Patsy Oswald and Edward Pilot both of Batesburg, S.C.; seventeen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a member of Montmorenci Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, stepmother, grandmother and friend. In summation, she was just a good Godly lady, who was always loving and always loved by everyone. She shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during the 86 precious years that God granted her on this earth. Death for her is not the end as she has just made that great transition to her new Heavenly home where all is peace and joy, and no sad goodbyes are ever spoken. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service, celebrating her life, will be held at Aiken Memorial Park on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Grover officiating. Her grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzeheimer's Association, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, Ga. 30904 or to Liberty Hospice Services, 1307 East Pine Log Rd., Suite B., Aiken, S. C. 29803. Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.C. 29829 is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

I'm proud to have had her for my aunt. She was a very pretty and sweet lady and I know she loved me. After I told her I wanted to grow up to be just like her, she remembered that. She started giving me some of her pretty clothes when I was in high school and I wore them proudly. Now, I'm 80 years old and still have many of the fondest and some funny memories of my Aunt Maggie.

John, and all the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have lost a delightful neighbor but will have loving thoughts remembering our chats. We will miss her, but know her worldly cares are over and she is with her loved ones who have gone on before her. Ann & Jim Welch

Grandmother
God looked around His garden and found an empty space. Then He looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He only takes the best.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. She was a wonderful lady. I always enjoyed our little talks. It was so nice to have her wave back to me when I would go by her home. She seem to enjoy working in the yard so much.

Our Beloved Grandma
It's always sad but comforting to silently recall you smile, your preaching, and a dear familiar face
so loved by one and all.
For the world will keep turning and change from day to day
Our precious memories of you will never fade away. And here's to hoping that this message, which carries so much love will some how find its way to you in heaven up above.
Its to let you know Granny that although you are not with us anymore, you will live forever in the hearts of all of us who loved you the very best.
For one day we will see you again. Rest In Peace Granny. I love you so much. Your my one and only and I'll miss you dearly, but I know that you are young and vibrant again.
