Deacon Mack Brown, Jr. son of the late Mack Brown, Sr. and Lorene Brown. Deacon Mack Brown, Jr. was born in Washington D.C on February 26, 1947. Deacon Mack Brown, Jr. accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He received his formal education from Gadson Elementary, Garnet Patterson Jr. High School, and Bell Vocational High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Army achieving the rank of Sergent Major. He was honored in receiving several decorations, medals, badges, commendations, and honors with a couple being the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. After retiring from the United States Army, Deacon Mack Brown, Jr. worked for DC Transit Bus Station and later became owner and CEO of Brown Trash Removal. Deacon Mack Brown, Jr. entered into eternal rest July 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Brown, sisters, Cindy Brown and Sharon Brown Dobbs. His survivors are a devoted and loving wife, Rachel Brown (Aiken, SC); daughter, Audra Brown-Green (Accokeek, Maryland); son, Joshua (Gabrielle) Brown (Charlotte, NC); step-children, Robert (Maxine) Ryan, Jr. (Germantown, MD), Rico (Stephone) Ryan (Aiken, SC), Reginald (Shenee') Ryan (Columbia, SC), and Rachel Ryan (Aiken, SC); sister, Naomi Harper (Florence, SC); brothers, Dwight (Lamous) Brown (Whitmore, SC), and Everett Brown (Baltimore, MD); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Deacon Mack Brown, Jr. was a man after God's own heart – a vessel of wisdom, joy, and unwavering faith. A devoted and loving husband and father, he touched countless lives with his kind spirit and infectious laughter. Wherever he went, he carried the love of Jesus Christ, leaving a lasting impression on every heart and soul he encountered.
