AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. Macario "Mac" Calianga Adriano, age 88, will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Grace Covenant Church of God with Pastor Edgar N. Foster, Sr., Pastor David L. Holdman, Dr. Domy Adriano officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Adriano will lie in state at the church one hour before service time.
Mr. Adriano entered into rest Monday, February 8 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was the beloved husband of 64 years of Mrs. Juana Catolos Adriano and the son of the late Mr. Emilio Adriano and the late Mrs. Tomasa Calianga Adriano.
Mr. Adriano was born in Tanay Rizal, Philippines and had made Aiken his home for the past 25 years. While in the Philippines Mr. Adriano was honored by serving as a Barangay Captain (City Councilman) for 24 years, and was a fisherman by trade. For over 8 years the Adriano's held a bible study in their home in Aiken called the Fil/Am
(Filipino/American) Bible Study which was started by Pastor David L. Holdman. Mr. Adriano was an active member of Grace Covenant Church of God, New Ellenton. He will be greatly missed by the family, church family, and his friends. Mr. Adriano was affectionately known by Mac, Tatay (Father) and Lolo (Grandfather) by family and friends.
Additional survivors include three sons, Alfredo (Charito) Adriano, Philippines, Antonio Adriano, Philippines, Aries Adriano, Atlanta, GA; eight daughters, Adelaida
(Rogelio) Adriano, Germany, Amparo (Ronnie) Marquez, Philippines, Angelita Adriano, Aiken, Arsenia (Tommy) Cook, Warrenville, Amor (Danny) Middleswarth, Aiken, Amelita Adriano, Aiken, Annaliza
(Rodney) Krepps, North Augusta, Arlina (Fiance' Ruben) Adriano, Aiken; one brother, Dr. Domy (Zenaida) Adriano, Aiken; eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Adriano was predeceased by one son, Arturo Adriano, one daughter, Amelia Adriano, three brothers, Sotero, Candido, Basilio Adriano.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Adriano, Geoffrey Adriano, Ken Dennis Fernandez, Danny Middleswarth, Tommy Cook, and Rodney Krepps.
