LOWELL JONES Obituary

JONES, LOWELL VAN - age 77, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his residence. Lowell was a member of Second Baptist Church for 40 years. He retired from Y-12 as a machinist and owned and operated Complete Machine Company in Clinton Industrial Park until 2005. Preceded in death by parents, Russell and Mattie Jones; brothers, Norris and RC Jones; sister, Betty Martin. He is survived by loving wife of 58 years, Cleta Jones of Clinton; daughter, Teresa Nolen and husband Bill of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Anna June Odom and husband Chris of Morristown, David Scott Nolen and RaeAnnah Nolen of Talbott, Joey Lynn Byrd and husband Jonathan Greg of Newport, Joni Shuler and husband Matthew Aaron of Seymour, Keely Elledge and Courtney Elledge of Clinton; great grandchildren, Jared Odom, Leslie Odom, Jessica Odom, Kayden Odom, Maddie Grace Shuler, Sophie Rae Nolen and Aubrey Jo Byrd; brother, Fred Jones and wife Sug of Clinton; sister, Sue Dale Rivet and husband Roland of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2014, at Second Baptist Church with a funeral service to follow with the Rev. Mike Thompson officiating. His burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Grandview Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Second Baptist Church, c/o The Joy Group, PO Box 297, Clinton, TN 37717.
