Lori Taylor Obituary

Lori Paige Widener Taylor
MONTMORENCI - Lori Paige Widener Taylor, 39, widow of Seth Holmes Taylor passed away Saturday morning May 20, 2017 at her residence on York Street in Aiken, SC. She had suffered from unknown health problems a few days prior to her demise, but insisted on working at the job she was devoted to at Woodside Plantation in the Reserve Club.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Windsor with the Reverend Wesley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Windsor Building Fund, P.O. Box 238, Windsor, SC 29856.
Paige was born January 23, 1978 in Augusta, GA to Jimmy Allen and Kathy Gantt Widener. She attended South Aiken High School for three years, but received her high school diploma from Aiken High. She also attended college at USC Spartanburg, USC Aiken and Trident Tech in Charleston, SC.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Windsor having been baptized in the Christian faith at the age of ten. Before her death she attended Cedar Creek Church and was active in their Celebrate Recovery program. Paige was also an avid reader, loved books and always had the latest novel in her hand. She especially enjoyed books by V. C. Andrews and Stephen King.
Besides her parents she is survived by a son, Tristen Allen Widener, her grandmothers, Peggy R. Widener of Montmorenci, Jeanette Gantt of Leesville and Sallie Spires of Aiken. Also, included are her two siblings Jason Allen Widener and Melanie (Troy) Widener Brant, a nephew Jacob Brant, a niece Emily Garrison and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides her husband, Seth, she was predeceased by her grandfathers, J. A. Widener of Montmorenci and Robert K. Gantt of Leesville.
Paige loved to talk and anyone who knew her can attest to the fact she never lacked comments and observations on everything and everyone she encountered. She also had a wonderful infectious laugh and a smile on her face. After difficulties in her life, she had finally reached a point where things were really coming together for her and she appeared content and very happy. She will be greatly missed by not only her family, but many friends including two very special friends, Erin Long Clark, from her high school days, and her first cousin, April Lingle Gambrell. They were always there to boost her spirits and support her when she was down. Erin and April loved her very much.
