Lorene Wood Obituary
AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mrs. Lorene Bridges Wood, age 68, will be held 11:00 am Saturday May 7, 2016 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in Vaucluse Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood entered into rest Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was the wife of the late Mr. Leonard Leroy Wood, Jr. and a daughter of the late Mr. Grady O'Dell Bridges and the late Mrs. Cora Mae McFee Bridges. Mrs. Wood was a native of Thomaston, GA and had made Aiken County her home for most of her life. She loved her family very much and will be missed by them and all of her friends. Mrs. Wood had attended South Aiken Church of God.
Survivors include one son, Leonard Leroy (Paulette) Wood, III, Lugoff, SC; three daughters, Barbara Ann (Allen) Payton, Aiken, Almar (Tracy) Atkinson, Aiken, Miranda (Richard) Bowles, Windsor; two brothers, Robert (Brenda) Bridges, Aiken, Donald Lee Bridges, Aiken; one sister, Annette (Roy) Grover, Graniteville; nine grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wood was predeceased by one daughter, Lori Lucinda Wood; one brother, Marvin Leon Bridges; and three sisters, Sandra Bays, Sheila Loraine Seigler, and Brenda Lee Youngblood.
Pallbearers will be Miranda Bowles, Ricky Bowles, Tracy Atkinson, Brad Stapleton, James Stapleton, Houston Smith, Charles Seigler, and Allen Payton.
A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 pm Friday, May 6, 2016 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (188 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.

So sorry for your loss. I didn't even know about this until a friend told Vickie. I know Lorene was loved by his kids, grandkids and the rest of her family. She will be fondly remembered by me. God be with you all as you suffer through the loss of your Mother,grandmother, Aunt and friend.
