Lois Howard Obituary
AIKEN - Lois Jackson Howard, 84, entered life in her heavenly home on Thursday, November 29, 2018. All who love her need to celebrate this long-awaited homecoming. Her greatest joys in life came from knowing her family and loved ones knew Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, studying the Bible and teaching Sunday School, and providing quality patient care as a nurse for Dr. William Barfield, Sr. Her greatest blessing to her family and loved ones was earnestly praying for each of them every day of her life.
Lois made everyone feel welcome in her home and treated them like family. Many called her "Mom" as they enjoyed her good cooking, shared their lives, or helped cheer on the Atlanta Braves.
Lois is survived by her children, Danny Fincher (Tricia) and Debbie Wallace (Chip), and her grandchildren, Megan Marshall (Daniel), Derek Cooper (Erin), Jenna McCoy (Adam), Daniel Fincher, and Ray Wallace (Anna). Loving on her nine great-grandchildren made her the happiest during the last years of her life.
She was preceded in death by her children's father and husband, Ralph Fincher, and her late husband of 52 years, Paul Howard. Seeing them in heaven along with her son, Donnie Fincher, will be a glorious reunion.
Through the most difficult years in our family's life, Sam and Dale Jordan have been an ever-present source of love and support. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to them and all who prayed for our family.
Visitation will be from 2:30-3:00 PM followed by the funeral service at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Entombment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
