Lois Wammock Arnold
Langley - Mrs. Lois Wammock Arnold, 87, of Langley, SC, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in the comfort of the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Dayle and Robert Lipski, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Langley, SC, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie and Elnora Waddell Wright and her step-mother, Mildred Gregory Wright, who raised her as her own. After several years at the Graniteville Company, she became employed with Johnson Controls at Fort Gordon, retiring after 24 years. After leaving Johnson Controls, she found the perfect career as a Family Service Counselor at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, where she was loved by the many families that she served. She brought so many comfort.
A devout Christian, she attended Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. She was Past President of the Red Hat Society and did volunteer work at the downtown Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, GA.
In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Carol Wammock, Palmetto, FL; her sister, Faye Jones (the late Wayne Jones), brother-in-law, Rev. Charles Wilson, (the late Louise Wright Wilson) Aiken, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathy Spencer, Kimberly Rhoden, Danielle Gregory, Halle Wammock and Jeremiah Angel. Also her great-grandchildren, Josiah Spencer, Jackson Benson and Elizabeth Spencer.
Also preceding her in death were husbands, Theodore Wammock and Jay Arnold, son, David Wammock, daughter, Annette Ennis, brother, Richard Wright and sister, Louise Wilson.
The family would like to thank Helping Hands Hospice for the loving care given to mother, it was sincerely appreciated.
Friends will be greeted by the family on Monday, December 13, 2021, beginning at noon at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Rev. Charles Wilson and Pastor Pennye Duncan will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorials Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Lee Bass, Brian Aspinwall, James Cosnahan, Leonard Waddell, Mike Merriett and George O'Banion. Honorary pallbearers will be Brittany Tillman, Gabriel Hunt, Renee Jones and Elizabeth Spencer.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the Children's Ministry at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. (www.mvcommunity.com)
