Linda Neely Roy
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Memorial Services for Mrs. Linda Neely Roy, 73, of North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on July 7, 2016, will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the Grace United Methodist Church. Rev. James D. Dennis, Jr. and Dr. T. Joseph Lusk officiating.
Mrs. Roy, born in Albany, Georgia, having made her home in Clinton, Mississippi, moved back to her home town of North Augusta 9 years ago. She was a graduate of North Augusta High School, a former member of Grace United Methodist Church and a communicant of The Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Mrs. Roy was a former owner of a retail children's clothing business and a director of a child care center. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Thomas Roy of Clinton, Mississippi.
Survivors include her five children, Joseph William Hamilton, Jr., Charleston, SC, Kimberly Hamilton Metz, Augusta, Beverly Roy (Ryan) Steele, Florence, SC, Paul Thomas (Erin) Roy, Jr., Mandeville, LA and Edward Walters Roy, North Augusta; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Neely (Billy) Thurmond, North Augusta and Deborah Neely (Rick) Smith, Aiken; a brother, Byron Ewell (Dody) Neely, Jr.
The family will receive friends Monday morning at the church following the service.
