She was the seventh of eight children. Linda was an extremely kind individual whose goal was to bring love, joy and support to all humankind that she encountered. Linda married the late Brodis Joseph LaMarr, Jr. in 1982. This union was blessed with two children, Brodis Joseph LaMarr III (Trey) and Brian Kevin LaMarr.
Linda graduated from Upson High School in 1976, and continued her education at Morris Brown College. She excelled both in academics and extracurricular activities, all which lead to her being selected the campus queen, Miss Morris Brown College in 1980. Mrs. LaMarr received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Morris Brown College in 1980, and a Master's in Business Administration from Xavier University's Graduate School of Business in 1983. Her professional skills allowed her to work as a Financial Manager at Planned Parenthood of East Central Georgia, the Senior Staff Accountant and later the Senior Auditor at General Telephone of the Southeast.
