Lester Jackson Obituary
CLEARWATER, SC - Mr. Lester "Shorty" Jackson, 70, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, with his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Mrs. Carolyn Elizabeth Pace Jackson, at his side.
Born in Richmond County, GA and a resident of the CSRA for the last forty years, he was a son of the late Lester Stanley Kramer Jackson and the late Sarah Harris Main. He was a retired Roofer and Painter. Shorty enjoyed small engine repair, ceramics and building birdhouses.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Lisa Marie Pace Eades, Easley, SC, twin sons, Lester and Leslie Main, Clearwater, SC, Carolyn Marie Kub, Gaston, SC and Lester "Stan" Jackson, Beech Island, SC; sister, Dewana Fuller, Spartanburg, SC and eleven grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 2 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Dexter Lambert officiating. In accordance with his wishes, Shorty will be cremated following the service.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. (www.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate)
The family will greet friends on (this evening) Friday from 5 until 7 o'clock at HATCHER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, LANGLEY, SC.
