BEECH ISLAND - Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Leslie W. Murphy, III, age 76, of Beech Island, SC on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, in the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Midville City Cemetery, with Rev. Randy Carnley officiating.
The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
Mr. Murphy was born June 3, 1941, in Midville, GA, to the late Leslie W. Murphy, Jr. and Alice Bragg Murphy in. He attended school in Millen, GA and graduated from North Augusta Senior High in 1961. He was a Welder, Construction Worker and Salesman. Mr. Murphy loved playing basketball, Fishing and Hunting and spending time in Midville, GA. He served in the Navy two years in Japan and was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church in Beech Island, SC. In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by a Son, Kirk Murphy and a Brother, Richard Murphy.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to ASPCA of your choice.
Survivors include: His Ex-wife and Caregiver: Ann Carey of Beech Island, SC, Two Sons: Leslie Alan Murphy of Beech Island, SC and Leslie Branson of North Augusta, SC.
