Leroy Washington Obituary
AUGUSTA, GA - Mr. Leroy Washington, Sr. entered into rest on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Moses Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Green officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors are six children, Edith (John) Corley, Aiken, SC, Janice (Keith) Ford, Alabaster, AL, Leroy Washington, Jr., Manchester, CT, Deborah (Michael) Rose, Cantonment, FL, Elizabeth W. Dunbar and Cynthia W. Sims, Augusta;
sisters, Ellen W. Clark, Augusta, Patricia W. Flowers, Durham, NC; brothers, Willie J. Washington, Charles (Brenda) Washington, Jules E. Washington, Augusta; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Leroy Washington,Sr. has left his legacy to live on through his family, his church family and yes Cynthia, I will remember your father as I pass by his meticulous masonry landmarks, throughout Augusta. Most of all, Deborah Washington Rose, thank you my sister, for sharing the love of your family. Your father loved all of you, and I was Blessed to be called the other daughter. Father God is your strength in Jesus name.

Dear Edith, Janice, Leroy, Jr., Deborah. Elizabeth and Cynthia,
Uncle Leroy was greatly loved. He was my "rock". My childhood memories are filled with happiness shared with your family. Uncle Leroy was a wealth of advice. I could always rely on his opinion. As a child, I saw him as a hard worker with a great sense of humor and a caring heart.. As an adult, I knew him as a wise man full of grace.
