Leon W. "Jack" Sims
BEECH ISLAND, SC - Mr. Leon W. "Jack" Sims, 75, of Beech Island, SC, husband of forty-four years to Bobbie Ison Sims, entered into rest in the comfort of his home on Saturday, January 9th, 2016.
Born in McDuffie County, GA, a son of the late Leon, Sr. and Ruby Harden Sims, he had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, for the past eleven years.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jack retired from AT&T, was an avid fisherman and crack shot hunter.
He was totally devoted to his wife Bobbie, with whom he traveled the world.
Jack was a simple man who never said an unkind word about anyone.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include a sister, Dolly Bradford, Macon, GA; brother-in-law's, Johnny Ison and his wife, Cindy and Ricky Ison and his companion, Ruth Mobley, all of Beech Island, SC; sister-in-law, Shirley Harrison, Augusta, GA, many nieces and nephews, as well as a great niece.
Jack's family will hold a private memorial service.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the South Carolina Alzheimer's Association. (www.alz.org/sc/).
