Leila Bush Jack
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - Mrs. Leila Jack entered into rest on April 29, 2016, peacefully at her residence on Coburn Drive in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was the daughter of the late Otis Bush and Lillie Mae Bush, and the widow of Randolph Jack.
Leila Jack, or "Lee" as she was known to family and friends was born on February 15, 1931 in Aiken, South Carolina and educated in the Aiken County School district, she moved to New York city where she met the love of her life Mr. Randolph Jack. . The two were soon married and had two sons, Mr. Carl Jack and Mr. Dean Jack later she attended University of New York where she obtained her degree in nursing. She was employed as a Duchess County Nurse. Lee retired as an RN after many years of service and remained a resident of Poughkeepsie.
She is mourned by four sisters and one brother. Ms. Alberteen Johnson, Ms. Thelma Spikenard, Ms. Loretta Moody Turner, Ms. Zoe Stallings, and Mr. Dennis R Bush.
She also leaves four grandchildren, Sitara Ward, Kimberly Maso, Imani Blaize and Saniah Howlett.
She is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Ms. Edna Bush, Ms. Gloria Busch Johnson, Blanche Auragenna, Mr. Ester Bush, and Louis Douse.
Mrs. Jack will repose 10-11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, 43 Fairview Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Service 11 a.m. at the chapel.
